Compute
The foundation or must-have for any workload running in a cloud environment is a robust and flexible compute infrastructure. This essential component consists of virtual Central Processing Units (vCPU) and virtual Random Access Memory (vRAM) that provide the processing power and memory required to run applications and workloads in the cloud.
AVM Cloud stands out from other local and global CSPs by offering a high level of flexibility in compute resource allocation, allowing users to customize their compute configuration without being constrained by fixed "t-shirt" sizing options.
STD : vCPU/vRAM
Compute resources consists of CPU and RAM. These resources allows the execution of applications in a cloud environment. In AVM Cloud environment, customer can specify their required number of vCPU and amount of vRAM required for their infrastructure. Usually, this number will defer based on customer’s infrastructure maturity or business nature.
STD DR: vCPU/vRAM
Disaster recovery compute resources to protect against site failure. Customer can purchase DR resources from AVM Cloud at its’ secondary site. Depending on which applications are prioritized for recovery, customer may opt to only protect mission critical workloads to keep cost low. There is possible that only a subset of applications will be recovered at the secondary datacentre. AVM Cloud’s DR services is a cold site configuration. This means VMs will be offline during normal production time. Hence, customers are only required to pay a fraction of the cost for software license at DR site .
HI-MEMORY: vCPU/vRAM
High memory ratio compute resources to cater for memory intensive workloads. This service consists of vCPU and vRAM and supports the execution of applications in a cloud environment. Customers can specify the total number of vCPU and amount of vRAM required for all their VMs in their environment.
